Your Needs First, Inc. (YNF) is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit community-based organization. Our goal is to empower, educate and inspire individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and build an environment that is conducive to healthy development. We have set out to improve the quality of life for everyone who needs our services. Our main objective is to provide disadvantage, homeless and low-income families with housing and life skill training.
Your Needs First has made it their mission to help those in need of services that would provide them with valuable life skills that will empower, encourage and motivate them to become more educationally focused in order to improve their ability to live enriched lives.
Our primary targeted population consists of homeless pregnant and parenting young women with children. Our Tier II Transitional Residence would have a homelike and welcoming atmosphere. The Social Service Department will be offering a nurturing and supportive environment with a strong health and educational program. They will also be providing assistance in finding permanent housing and maintain contact with them for a year to ensure the client’s success. As for the older parents in the facility, they require a slightly different type of service such as reinventing their skills, restoring their ambition; mind-set and getting them back on the right path in life.
We will be providing the residents with various programs and services a side from the professional case management such as parenting skills, housekeeping, employment assistance, budgeting, nutrition and computer training workshops. Some of the other programs are focused on health, education, credit repair, medical and substance abuse treatment program referrals, mentoring and many more opportunities. The women must agree to register in an appropriate program that is instrumental to their future success, share household chores, and comply with facility curfew and other house rules.
YNF will be offering Daycare and Child Development Services for children 5 years old and younger. This is especial important because there is a great need to inspire and guide the young minds of our future generation.
