Young Adults
Your Needs First, Inc is working on opening and operating a Transitional Independent Living (TIL) facility for homeless youth adults (ages 16-21). The program will be governed by OTDA’s rules and regulation with a full social services, operational, maintenance and security staff onsite. The housing team’s main objective would be to assist the clients with obtaining suitable permanent housing opportunities and conduct aftercare.
The TIL Programs will provide supervision, assessment services, recreational activities, information and referrals for health services, childcare, employment and training workshops, parenting classes, legal assistance, counseling, independent living skills, primary medical, substance abuse and mental health care referrals as well as benefits advocacy. In addition, they will be incorporating an after school program to assist them with their studies and educational needs.
YNF has established a strong supporting cast of external professional providers as well. They will continue to cover an extensive amount of the client’s potential needs and will continue to increase our internal and obtain additional external opportunities.
