Your Needs First, Inc is seeking DHS’s approval to open and operate their transitional residences for Adults. It will be operate in accordance with applicable New York State Codes, Rules and Regulations. The operating shelter certificate will be posted in the lobby, the fire evaluation and safety plan will be kept current.

The residentual program’s clinical staff will provide structure and an atmosphere which facilitates assessment of the clients’ needs. They will promote the client’s move to independent living. They will have a social services department onsite that includes: a housing team to offer assistance with seeking permanent housing, employment spiecialist to help them become gangfully employed and linkage agreements to medical and behavioral (mental health and substance use), health care and recreation services.

The primary goal of the operational staff is to ensure that the facility is safe and operating efficiently. Via managing and monitoring of the administrative, fiscal, food services, physical plant safety and security and transportation systems. This department supports a positive and caring environment for the people they serve. They will assure a clean, hazard free and effective treatment environment to support the effective delivery of services.

All restrooms, sleeping quarters, recreational areas, hallways, and community areas will be kept clean, sanitary, and free of rodents and trash.

The facility will be well maintained in good condition, repaired as needed and in compliance with applicable State and local laws, regulations and ordinances in order to ensure a productive environment for residents and staff.

In addition, the facility will be equipped with a full-coverage digital camera system that monitors the property inside and outside the facilities. All visitors will be required to sign in and out and any incidents are duly recorded and if necessary the situation will be called into the 911.

An adequate number of staff will be on duty at all times to ensure that the facility is operating properly and a Callahan cohesive environment 24 hours 7 days a week.
